Today was such a rush as we have 2 clients who we booked their accommodation with us yesterday and the host cancelled the booking today, literally 1 day before they have to fly out 😱
When I received the email from the host that they have cancelled our clients' booking because the name didn't match the reservation I was like why made an issue out of nothing. The client's name match but because I was the Agent who booked it, the host refused to work with us for a solution so I had no choice but to find something else as our clients are leaving in 1 day.
I called the clients and explain the situation and that we will fix this so that they won't have to do anything except to wait for the options and stay on stand by.
Jam was on the phone with the original supplier who we booked this through to get help while I was searching for alternatives. The supplier was meant to help but for some reason they were just useless and told Jam to figure it out herself. Normally we'd fight back but due to the crunching time, both Jam and I contacted different suppliers to get options which we narrowed down to 4 then send to our clients for approval.
Clients paid $2340 for 5 nights initially and we gave them 4 new options to choose from. The new hotel the clients chose was $2780 so they will have to pay $440 more however when we were about to book it, the price came down to $2590 so the difference was only $250 in the end.
Clients were happy with the outcome and that's all it matter.
